The slim and lightweight design of our Clic Card allows for easy alignment with your MagSafe charger when lying down (with cards removed, as with all iPhone wallets), for wireless charging at optimum speed without the need for additional magnets inside the phone case. Not having magnets in the case also ensures that your stripe cards are not exposed to the full force of the phone’s magnets.
Magnet strength is moderate, so that you can easily align your MagSafe charger (with cards removed, as with all iPhone wallets), but still be able to remove your phone from the charger without needing both hands. You’ll easily be able to pick up your charged phone and be on your way.
Apple recommends not to use stripe cards with their MagSafe wallet, and to remove all cards from the wallet before charging. While they also mention that contactless cards must be removed from the wallet to properly scan, with Clic Card, they’ll will work seamlessly without having to be taken out.
Compatibility for magnetic MagSafe accessories varies depending on the specific accessory:
- MagSafe Wireless Charging on a flat surface: fully compatible when cards are removed, as with all iPhone wallets.
- MagSafe Wireless Charging on a non-flat surface: to keep our Clic Card slim and lightweight, there are no additional magnets inside the case. This was an intentional design decision to ensure the slimmest form that won’t weigh you down, while also allowing you to easily remove your phone from the MagSafe charger with just a single hand. However, this does mean the magnetic strength is not strong enough to hold the entire weight of the phone. So, our Clic Card is not compatible with free-fly stand docks, where the iPhone is not lying flat on the charger or the full weight of the phone is held by the magnets.
- MagSafe Magnetic Accessories: as Clic Card sleek and lightweight does not include additional magnets inside the case, magnetic accessories like Apple’s MagSafe wallet are not compatible with our Clic Card. Instead, we recommend our Clic Air case, which is extremely thin and features strong magnetism.
